WE. ARE. HEADING. TO.
FLOATING VILLAGE!
was so excited about today :D
because it's a floating village. like... a village.
This village is located at a place everyone know
'Tonle Sap'
yeap. the Tonle Sap we've been reading in Sejarah textbook.
'Tonle' means Freshwater
'Sap' means Lake
so Tonle Sap means Freshwater lake.
yes, I'm helping you with your Sejarah.
Now boarding~
It's a small boat like this, not some ferry or ship.
Now they just past rainy seasons, so the lake expanded a lot.
It can expand up to 200 km.
This guy here is our tour guide ^
He only works half day since he has school in the afternoon,
everyone here is really hard working, they work in the morning
and go to school in the afternoon.
-Reaching a small village-
They live in these boat.
Eat, Sleep,Toilet, Work is all in these boats.
They even rear raise pigs, can you see?
well its not very clear...
^ the pigs are here, see see!
cute eh? she keeps poses for the camera :D
This is a uhm... a crocodile farm? with some fishes?
kinda like a museum, shows you cara- cara they use to catch fishes.
This guy is was walking with his giant snake towards us,
and my mom screamed so loud. He was the one who got scared.
and more snakes!
We move on to the orphanage, where all the kids that
lost their parents in the tsunami (?)
uhm, not really sure what to call it,
but when the tide rises or they go fishing, they lost their lives there.
We bought some flour first from the Community Floating Market.
Of course, to distribute to the orphans.
and this is the orphanage.
There's a elementary school not far away, these orphans go to school by boat.
This village has almost everything, that thing up there...
guess what is it?
It's a basketball court.
awesome right?!
Mainly Cambodians are Buddhist, like 80% of them is,
and 20% of them are Christians. That's the first Church I've seen in Cambodia.
That's the end of our tour around Tonle Sap.
On our way to Artisan Angkor....
BATMAN CAMBODIA SPOTTED!
hahaha...ha. ahem, it's just a tuk tuk.
something like a trishaw, they used it mainly for tourism.
Now, here is Artisan Angkor.
It's the same company from the silk thingy but this is carving and painting.
Didn't get to take much picture, but basically it's painting, stone carving,
and wood carving.
den den den den! we're making our own uhm... own clay!?
uh claypot? flowerpot.... whatever you call it.
yeap, when they turn green after heating, it's finish!
Third day was quite a long day, and we went swimming after this lol
